Norwegian ammonia terminal to begin construction following safety approval

Yara Clean Ammonia and Azane Fuel Solutions have received approval to construct an ammonia bunkering facility in Norway.

The Norwegian Directorate for Civil Protection (DSB) granted the safety permit, allowing for the construction of the facility at Fjord Base in Florø.

The two companies demonstrated how the planned terminal can meet the DSB’s safety requirements. H2 View understands the facility will include a floating stationary barge with a capacity of 650 tonnes of low-emission ammonia and be capable of up to 416 operations per year.
