Norwegian Hydrogen and Provaris reveal 270MW hydrogen plant plans

Norwegian Hydrogen and Provaris Energy has announced plans for a 270MW green hydrogen production facility in the Nordics.

The plant at Ørskog in the Ålesund municipality, Norway, has been granted a capacity of 20MW, with an application for a further 250MW capacity submitted and is now being processed.

The hydrogen produced is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by over 500,000 tonnes annually, which corresponds to over 20% of the emissions for the whole of the region of Møre og Romsdal in Norway.
