Oman green hydrogen project given the green light

Plans for a green hydrogen and ammonia project in Duqm, Oman have been given the green light.

The Public Authority for Special Economic Zone and Free Zones (OPAZ) today (Sep 27) inked a land reservation agreement for the 1.3MW project that will consist of both an onshore wind and solar farm.

As a result of the signed agreement, the project, led by Hyport Duqm Company, will now be established in a part of land which already houses other renewable energy projects as part of a commitment to meet Oman’s decarbonisation targets.
