Plans accelerate in the development of a 1GW low-carbon hydrogen production hub in Teesside, UK

H2NorthEast was showcased as a key UK-based project at the Riverside Stadium in Middlesborough, UK, today (April 26) with plans to support stakeholder engagement.

The H2NorthEast project aims to create 1GW of low-carbon blue hydrogen production that will be situated around the Kellas Midstream CATS terminal in Teesside.

It is hoped that by 2027 this will then deliver 355MW of low-carbon hydrogen to local industry with further upscaling potential to 1GW by 2030.
