Plug Power has revealed it will deliver containerised proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolyser systems to Avina Clean Hydrogen.
The systems will be utilised in a green hydrogen production facility serving the commercial mobility sector in California, which hopes to reach its climate goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 85% by 2045.
To achieve this, Avina will work with fleet operators and refuelling station providers, with each 5MW electrolyser unit enabling the company to produce up to two metric tonnes per day (MTPD) of green hydrogen and 730MT annually.
