Ports of Bilbao and Amsterdam partner on Spain-Netherlands hydrogen corridor

The Spanish and Dutch ports of Bilbao and Amsterdam along with other organisations have signed an agreement to develop a renewable hydrogen corridor between Spain and the Netherlands.

Set to focus on the maritime route between Bilbao and Amsterdam, the corridor will see involvement from the Energy Agency of the Basque Government (EVE), Petronor, SkyNRG, Evos Amsterdam and Zenith Energy Terminals.

Under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the parties will develop a renewable hydrogen supply chain, focusing on production in Basque County, Spain, and export to the Netherlands and wider Europe through the port of Amsterdam.
