Powering Shell’s Holland Hydrogen I: Hollandse Kust Noord windfarm delivers first green energy

The wind farm set to power Shell’s 200MW Holland Hydrogen I project has delivered its first green energy.

Having started electricity production on Monday (June 19), the Hollandse Kust Noord windfarm developed by CrossWind, a joint venture between Shell and Eneco, will have capacity expanded in the coming months.

Located 18.5km off the coast of Egmond aan Zee, the Netherlands, Hollandse Kust Noord is expected to eventually supply the equivalent of 2.8% of the Dutch electricity demand, set to see a total of 69 wind turbines established.
