Proposed Californian state budget set to include $6.1bn for zero-emission vehicles including hydrogen

California, US, is set to welcome over $6.1bn over five years, outlined within the proposed 2022-2023 State Budget, that will support investment for zero-emission vehicles with hydrogen to be included.

With this, Senator Bob Archuleta, Chair of the Californian Senate Select Committee on Hydrogen Energy, has welcomed the funding stating that it could be the key to unlocking wider adoption of hydrogen vehicles in state.

Speaking on the proposed state budget, Senator Archuleta said, “I am closely following the Governor’s proposed budget, which includes $6.1bn over five years for investments in zero emission vehicles. I am thrilled to see $1.1bn set aside for zero emission trucks, buses, off road equipment and fuelling infrastructure.
