Proposed Lower Saxony hydrogen hub attracts interest from German politicians

A proposed hydrogen hub that is being developed by EWE and Uniper in Huntorf, Germany, has been visited by two German politicians.

EWE and Uniper revealed in April that they would be looking to establish a new hydrogen hub in Huntorf, Lower Saxony.

Both companies signed an agreement that indicates a plan to generate hydrogen using renewable energy (wind power) in Huntorf, store it there and create transport facilities to make it available to both industry and the mobility sector.
