Proton Motor Fuel Cell, in partnership with APEX Energy Teterow, is opening a new grid-connected hydrogen plant in June (12th), the German fuel cell technology innovator said today.
The two companies have signed an agreement which will see Proton Motor deliver 10 container-integrated fuel cell systems with a grid connection for 100kw electrical power supply to APEX Energy – an order worth €5m.
“We are delighted with this order because it further demonstrates that our fuel cell solutions are attracting commercial customers interested in hydrogen as a clean energy source,” Proton Motor Fuel Cell CEO Dr. Faiz Nahab said.
“The first four turnkey systems are already in production whilst the six other outdoor containers for the conversion of hydrogen back into electricity will be installed by the end of 2021.”
“The contract between the two parties also provides for after sales service and maintenance activities for the fuel cell solutions.”
“In addition, both are envisaging the conclusion of a licensing agreement for further deliveries over and above the number of units, as specified above.”
