Pure hydrogen boilers to be tested in Lochem

BDR Thermea Group has launched what it claims to be the ‘world’s first’ test of fully hydrogen boilers in 12 domestic residences in Lochem, Netherlands.

The boilers, manufactured by BDR’s Dutch group Remeha, have been supplied with hydrogen via an existing natural gas grid, partnering up with Alliander.

The three-year pilot will take place on listed houses, each being supplied boilers that burn pure hydrogen with zero carbon emissions.
