Pure Hydrogen takes first step in developing a network of micro-hubs in Australia

Pure Hydrogen has leased a 4,000m2 site in Queensland, Australia, to develop a green hydrogen demonstration micro-hub.

Located at Archerfield Airport, the project will be developed in stages with the first phase utilising 1,000m2 of the facility to produce an output of 420kg of green hydrogen fuel per day.

The company wants to create a number of “CAPEX light micro hubs” that produce hydrogen using green electricity from the grid. Pure Hydrogen has placed an AUD $880,000 order for an electrolyser which will be combined with compression and storage facilities.

Subject to approvals, the first green hydrogen supply is expected for Q4 2024. A scale-up of the facility will be initiated with additional electrolysers as demand for hydrogen grows through the years.
