Reliance Industries to invest $8bn for development of giga-factories for fuel cells and electrolysers

Reliance Industries CEO and Indian Tycoon, Mukesh Ambani, has revealed several hydrogen related projects the company will be developing – investing 60,000 crore rupees ($8bn) into the group.

Speaking at Reliance Industries 44th Annual General Meeting on Thursday (June 24), Ambani stated the company’s intention to develop four giga-factories in the region to support hydrogen production and renewable energy sources.

This is part of a plan to create a fully integrated, end-to-end renewables energy eco-system.
