Renault, Plug Power joint venture unveils two new hydrogen vehicles

Two new hydrogen-powered light commercial vehicles have been unveiled by Renault Group and Plug Power’s joint venture Hyvia.

A hydrogen chassis cab is the one half of the new product release. With a range of approximately 250km, the box van is equipped with a 30kW fuel cell, a 33kW battery and tanks containing 3kg of hydrogen at 700 bars.

Believe by Hyvia to be the first release convenient for large transport of goods and packages up to 1,000kg of payload, the vehicle also showcases on-board hydrogen technology that enhancing the operation of the fuel cell and hydrogen flows.

The second innovation launched by the joint venture comes in the form of a master city bus, which can carry up to 15 passengers (nine sitting and six standing), with a range of approximately 300km.
