Riding the hydrogen wave: HVS to continue testing and deploying hydrogen-powered HGVs

Hydrogen is “embarking on a revolution” and Hydrogen Vehicle Systems (HVS) is riding that wave following recent successful heavy goods vehicle (HGV) testing, according to its Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).

John McLeister joined the company in January (2024), and since then HVS has towed a trailer using a hydrogen-powered truck and agreed to integrate future HGVs into both Mannok and White Logistics’ fleet operations, amongst others.

He told H2 View that HVS is part of that hydrogen “revolution.” He explained, “First we’re testing our vehicles, it’s going to be the first vehicle of its type – from the ground up a fully designed FCEV (fuel cell electric vehicle) truck.
