RIL to manufacture Nel’s alkaline electrolysers in India under license

Indian-based Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) will produce Nel’s alkaline electrolysers in India under an exclusive license agreement.

Norway’s Nel today (May 21) said it had entered into a technology license agreement with RIL that will allow the multinational to manufacture its alkaline electrolysers, while the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) will retain the right to buy systems for its own projects.

As India’s largest company by market capitalisation (approximately $233.4bn), RIL is a Fortune 500 company operating across sectors including petrochemicals, oil, telecoms and retail. It is also involved in various large-scale green molecule projects
