Robert Gordon University awarded £1.2m to develop hydrogen testing facility in Aberdeen

The Robert Gordon University (RGU) has been awarded £1.2m ($1.5m) funding from the Scottish Government for a hydrogen testing facility in Aberdeen.

The Hy-One testing facility is a comprehensive one-stop hydrogen storage testing facility that will provide plug-and-play testing and demonstrations for hydrogen storage systems and prototypes.

It will be located at the National Subsea Centre (NSC) and support the development, demonstration and implementation of small-to-large-scale compressed hydrogen storage vessels and its components.
