RWE’s hydrogen plant receives Sunfire’s 10MW alkaline electrolysers

RWE’s pilot hydrogen plant has received its first 10MW alkaline electrolyser modules manufactured by Sunfire.

Eight electrolyser modules will arrive on articulated lorries over a four-day period at the company’s construction site at the Emsland gas-fired power station, which is expected to go into operation in the autumn.

The alkaline electrolysers will be installed within the pilot plant and be integrated to the infrastructure at the facility, with a Linde 4MW Linde electrolyser being delivered to an adjacent building in future to complete the plant.
