SimpleFuel station now operational at Toyota Takahama Plant

Toyota Industries Corporation has today (20th Jan) started full-scale operation of PDC Machines and IVYS Energy’s SimpleFuel Hydrogen Refueler at its Takahama Plant, Takahama, Japan.

Sharing the news today (20th Jan), the companies said Toyota will operate two SimpleFuel Hydrogen Refuelers for its onsite forklift trucks.

The Simple Fuel Refueler is a water electrolyser that produces hydrogen from water and electricity in a small installation. The innovation contains a pressure accumulator that stores hydrogen and a dispenser that handles much like a gas station hose.

Highly energy efficient, SimpleFuel uses a design that produces as much hydrogen as needed according to the operation of the fuel cell forklifts, can fuel a fleet of seven forklifts, and has additional functionality fuelling fuel cell electric vehicles.
