SK Corporation invests in Monolith Materials

South Korean investment company SK Corporation today (June 3) said it has invested in Monolith Materials, a US company that has successfully mass-produced turquoise hydrogen for the first time.

As a strategic partner in the hydrogen business, SK Corporation can extend its reach into the lucrative hydrogen market after the investment successfully secured a seat on the Monolith Board of Directors.

Turquoise hydrogen is produced by injecting natural gas with methane as a main component into a high temperature reactor and decomposing it into hydrogen and solid carbon.
