Solaris Bus & Coach will supply 22 Urbino hydrogen-powered buses to Paris’ fleet operator, Île-de-France Mobilités.
The buses are set to be delivered by 2025, after Île-de-France Mobilités released a tender for the purchase and maintenance of 22 hydrogen buses.
Île-de-France Mobilités launched a trial to evaluate the potential of hydrogen technology for the region’s transport system, part of the initiatives and investments undertaken since 2018 to renew the entire bus fleet.
Solaris’ award of the contract following the trial is a “confirmation of the high quality of the product.” A statement released by the company revealed in 2023, 44.5% of all hydrogen buses registered In Europe were Solaris vehicles.
