South Korea and Japan to cooperate on hydrogen policy

South Korea and Japan look set to bolster policy cooperation on hydrogen in industry and safety.

The South Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Policy’s Director-General for Hydrogen Economy Policy, Lee Ok-heon met with Hiro Inoue, Japan’s Economy, Trade and Industry Ministry’s (METI) Director-General of the Energy Conversation and Renewable Energy department to discuss measures for policy cooperation.

According to the South Korean Government, the two agreed on the need for hydrogen energy in the shared goal of achieving carbon neutrality and plan to bolster their cooperation on hydrogen in industry and safety.
