Alkaline electrolyser company Sunfire has appointed Frank Posnanski as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Posnanski’s role will be effective from March 1 (2023) and he succeeds Stephan Garabet.
Together with CEO Nils Aldag, Christian von Olshausen, CTO, and Bernhard Zwinz, COO, Posnanski will further drive the scaling of Sunfire’s electrolyser business.
Frank Mastiaux, Chairman and Advisory Board at Sunfire, said, “As Sunfire continues to grow at fast pace, Frank will decisively support us with his deep financial expertise and will further expand our finance division as we aim to scale strongly.”
Former CFO Garabet played an important role in raising significant equity and government funding and managing the acquisition of Sunfire’s production site in Solingen.
Earlier this month (February), Sunfire announced progress on the Kopernikus P2X project following the commissioning of a high temperature electrolyser.
The Germany-based project will convert renewable electricity into other forms of energy, such as green hydrogen or renewable fuels.
