SunHydrogen and the University of Michigan have joined forces to test highly efficient catalysts for oxygen and hydrogen evolution, which will cut the costs of materials whilst maintaining high solar-to-hydrogen conversion efficiency.
The US-based renewable hydrogen company today (Oct 11) announced the effort as part of a newly inked 12-month sponsored research agreement with the University of Michigan. Under the agreement, the university will also assess SunHydrogen’s overall hydrogen production process.
Dr. Nirala Singh, Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of Michigan will lead the work, alongside a team formed of two additional postdoctoral scientists.
