Swagelok to address challenges of storing and transporting hydrogen on H2 View Showcase Webinar

The challenge of containing and transferring hydrogen will be brought to the forefront during H2 View’s Showcase Webinar featuring Swagelok on November 14, 2023.

The free-to-attend webinar will explore materials science and how hydrogen is handled as the global economy develops, requiring both liquid and gaseous means of transport.

Transporting and storing hydrogen as a liquid is more efficient, however at its point of use it’s a gas. Two solutions can impact the metals used in hydrogen systems, these being: low-temperature embrittlement: as temperature decreases, metals lose some ductility; hydrogen embrittlement: atomic hydrogen can diffuse into the metal and cause embrittlement.
