Switzerland to gain new mobile hydrogen refuelling station for zero-emission mobility

With the zero-emission mobility sector increasingly expanding in Switzerland, a new hydrogen-powered mobile fast charger for electric vehicles is being tested in St. Gallen, Switzerland.

As reported by Blue News, the fast-charging station will be used not only to refuel at stations but also at trade fairs, festivals and mountain stations.

Avia Osterwalder and H2 Energy will develop the new hydrogen station.

Although initially being developed for recharging battery electric vehicles, a study will be made to examine the potential to combine green hydrogen and solar energy to refuel hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.

It is expected that this refuelling station will support the growing zero-emission mobility industry in Switzerland with demand projected to increase in the coming years.
