Taiwan: First fuel cell bus system set for 2022

Advantech and Taiwan based Tsai Ying Clean Energy Co. Ltd. (TYCE) are set to cooperate to develop the first ‘made in Taiwan’ hydrogen fuel cell electric bus (FCEB) ‘management system’.

H2 View understands that Advantech will incorporate software and hardware features such as AI-based fleet safety to improve the ‘safety and efficiency’ of FCEBs. Both companies are expecting to complete the first hydrogen FCEB management system by the end of 2022.

Advantech and TYCE have also announced that they will explore domestic and international markets for the system.
