TECO 2030 to receive funding as part of Horizon Europe hydrogen-powered ferry project

TECO 2030 and partners have received an invitation for the Horizon Europe funding of €13.5m ($14.9m) to build and demonstrate a hydrogen-powered fuel cell ferry.

The project is a Horizon Innovation Action which will accelerate the transition towards safer use of sustainable fuels in the maritime sector through the full-scale demonstration of hydrogen fuel cells.

A 35 metre, 300 passenger capacity vessel powered by TECO 2030’s FCM400 fuel cell system will be developed, built and demonstrated, set to be operated in southern Europe. TECO 2030 will work closely with the consortium partners to develop the entire value chain.
