Tees Valley Hydrogen Transport Hub plans progress

Plans for one of the UK’s most ambitious hydrogen projects have today (Oct 21) moved forward, with Element 2 confirming that it will supply both hydrogen and refuelling structure to the Tees Valley Hydrogen Transport Hub.

Unveiled back in March (2021), the £3m Tees Valley Hydrogen Transport Hub could see supermarkets, online retailers, warehouse operators and delivery companies using hydrogen-powered transport to move goods and carry out last-mile deliveries.

Plans also include local transport operators working with the transport research and development (R&D) sector to deliver emission-free hydrogen passenger services, such as on-demand regional buses or zero-emission refuse vehicles.
