A new partnership between Air Liquide and Siemens Energy is aiming to lay the groundwork for mass manufacturing of electrolysers in Europe.
Scaling up the production and distribution of hydrogen is widely seen as the biggest driver of cost reduction for green hydrogen.
But in order to lower the cost and meet the rapidly growing demand, the production of sustainability generated hydrogen through large-scale proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolysers needs to be accelerated.
To this end, Air Liquide and Siemens Energy today (8th Feb) said they have signed a deal to combine their expertise in PEM electrolysis technology.
