thyssenkrupp Uhde and ADNOC sign MoU to develop ammonia cracking plant

German-based thyssenkrupp Uhde has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) to explore an ammonia cracking plant.

Under the MoU, the two companies will enter a long-term partnership to create new markets for hydrogen and promote global clean energy value chains.

The MoU was signed on January 16 at Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW), initiating the exploration of a commercial-scale ammonia cracking plant, the process being based on udhe® reformer technology which is applied in over 130 chemical plants around the world.
