Denmark’s Topsoe has partnered with industrial software company AVEVA to help fast-track the development of solid oxide electrolyser cells (SOECs) for green hydrogen production.
Utilising AVEVA Process Simulation software, Topsoe’s engineers aim to design and optimise electrolysers with increased speed and efficiency to meet growing demand for green hydrogen.
The electrolyser manufacturer is currently constructing an SOEC plant in Herring, Denmark, which is set to initially boast a 500MW capacity, with the potential to expand to 5GW.
