Total Eren makes Australian expansion to lead renewable hydrogen developments

France’s Total Eren last week (March 10) announced an Australian expansion, establishing its fourth office in Perth, dedicated to leading the development of renewable hydrogen projects in Western Australia.

The expansion comes as the company looks to develop competitive gigawatt-scale hydrogen projects in Australia, recognising the country’s role as part of its global hydrogen strategy due to its potential in becoming a leader of the industry.

Despite the strong move to support the Australian market, Total also revealed the binding term sheet between itself and Province Resources Limited, which saw the companies team up to explore the development of an 8GW green hydrogen project, had expired and had not been extended.
