French industrial gases group Air Liquide and Asia’s largest refiner Sinopec have opened two new hydrogen stations in Shanghai, China.
Located in the Jiading district, approximately 12km from each other, the two stations feature a delivery pressure of 35 MPa and a capacity of 1,000 kg of low-carbon hydrogen per day each.
The hydrogen stations are equipped to serve the 200 hydrogen fuel cell logistic trucks that are deployed within the area in an average refuelling time of less than five minutes.
In order to keep up with the developing fuel cell passenger car market within the area, the two stations will soon be equipped with an additional 70 MPa delivery pressure dispenser.
The opening of the stations follows a recently signed memorandum of understanding (MoU) by the two companies which aims to accelerate the hydrogen infrastructure network in China.
