Ukraine set to receive green hydrogen from Canada

Green liquid hydrogen is set to be supplied to Ukraine in a bid to diversify the country’s energy supply amid Europe’s energy crisis.

Revealed last Friday (June 10), the National Joint Stock Company, Naftogaz of Ukraine, entered an agreement with Canadian, Symbio Infrastructure to purchase green liquid hydrogen and low-carbon liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Quebec, Canada.

Through a signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Symbio is set to supply the fuels with intentions of helping Europe address the ongoing energy crisis, with operations set to commence in 2027.
