UK’s ‘first-ever’ national occupational standard for hydrogen developed

UK industry stakeholders have collaborated to develop the country’s “first-ever” national occupational standard for the production, storage and transportation for hydrogen.

Having been approved by relevant authorities across the UK, the standard is set to be developed further into qualifications and apprenticeships, which is hoped to steer a future hydrogen workforce.

The steering group that developed the standard was chaired by the Tank Storage Association, with representatives including Cadent, XPO Logistics, Downstream Oil Distribution Forum and Progressive Energy.
