US grants $1m to Namibian green hydrogen fund

The US Government has announced a $1m grant to Namibia Hydrogen Fund Managers to support the African nation’s green hydrogen initiatives.

Aimed at supporting the $1.15bn SDG Namibia One Fund, the grant will support the management of green hydrogen production, transportation, transmission, storage and utilisation projects in the country.

Launched at COP27 in November 2022, SDG Namibia One is hoped to accelerate the development of the green hydrogen sector and economy in Namibia.
