Use of hydrogen in industry will justify infrastructure investments, FT Live Hydrogen Summit hears

The FT Live Hydrogen Summit in London has been told that industry can create the sizeable demand for green hydrogen that will “justify” infrastructure investments.

Prof. Dr. Emmanouil Kakaras, Executive Vice-President, NEXT Energy Business at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) EMEA, said that as a player across synthetic fuels, blue and green ammonia, hydrogen in gas turbines, MHI believes large-scale heavy projects will be the catalyst for wide-spread hydrogen demand.

“Industry will create the sizeable demand for green hydrogen that will justify investments in infrastructure,” Kakaras said.
