Wales & West Utilities set to decarbonise fleet with First Hydrogen vehicles

First Hydrogen has announced it will begin hydrogen-powered vehicle trails with gas distribution network, Wales & West Utilities (WWU).

The company’s hydrogen fuel cell-powered vehicles (FCEV) will operate from WWU’s Swansea depot in Wales, part of the business’ fleet of 1,300 vehicles that are deployed across Wales and the south west of England.

The trial is set to be supported by Protium Green Solutions and Hyppo Hydrogen Solutions, with the latter expected to develop a hydrogen refuelling service utilising fuel produced by Protium.
