Women in hydrogen: Kamilia Mhamdi, AMEA Power

In H2 View’s second instalment of its women in hydrogen series, in partnership with Women in Green Hydrogen, we catch up with Kamilia Mhamdi, Technical Manager for Solar at AMEA Power.

Thank you for taking the time to speak with H2 View, can you tell our readers about your current role and history in the hydrogen sector?

I started my career at Masen (Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy), developing solar projects within one of the biggest renewable platforms in the world, Noor Ouarzazate, with more than 500 MW installed capacity of CSP and PV.

In the past two years, taking into account the importance of green hydrogen as a means of decarbonisation and its key role in tackling energy challenges, I had the opportunity to participate in different studies and projects within this sector, including the development of a commercial project of green ammonia production in Morocco to be exported to Europe via Port of Rotterdam.
