This month’s interview is with Martina Steinkusz, Director of Market Development at the Renewable Hydrogen Alliance (RHA).
Thank you for taking the time to talk to us Martina. Why don’t you tell us a little bit about your background and how you became involved in clean energies?
The coal industry runs deep in where I grew up – in Silesia, Poland, and the “Ruhrpott”, Germany. I wanted to help cities and regional governments on their pathway to a clean and just transition.
I started working on EU-funded community clean energy projects after I finished my M.A. in Urban Studies. When I moved to the US, I took an Energy Policy & Management certificate class at Portland State University and learnt from the Renewable Hydrogen Alliance founder Ken Dragoon about renewable hydrogen and its potential. So, here I am, since 2019.
