‘World’s largest’ photovoltaic green hydrogen production project to be developed by Sinopec in China

The “world’s largest” photovoltaic green hydrogen production project is to be developed by Sinopec in Xinjiang, China, the company said today (Nov 30).

To be developed with an investment of $470m, the project will be capable of producing 20,000 tonnes of green hydrogen.

The project is part of Sinopec’s pledge to support China’s dual-carbon goals and pursuance of green, low-carbon development with this project set to promote the development of a green hydrogen industry chain in the region.
