As part of an effort to increase its focus on the growing sustainable mobility market, including hydrogen and compressed natural gas (CNG) innovations, Worthington Industries has sold its Structural Composites Industries (SCI) facility in Pomona, California.
Confirming the news yesterday (15th March), Worthington named Luxfer Holdings as the new owner of the building.
Whilst the move reflects its focus on mobility, Worthington said it will also continue to supply Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) cylinders for firefighters and first responders from its European locations to customers in Europe and Asia.
Commenting on the sale, Eric Smolenski, President of Worthington’s Pressure Cylinders Business, said, “We are pleased to find a buyer that can better utilise this facility to efficiently serve the US market”
