zepp.solutions receives orders for two hydrogen-powered semi-trucks

Netherlands-based zepp.solutions has received orders from two logistics companies for its anticipated hydrogen-powered semi-trucks.

BCTN and Vos Transport Group both signed orders for zepp’s hydrogen-electric truck tractors, which the company says will be the ‘world’s first’ hydrogen-powered zero-emission tractor unit that can tow any trailer under current European regulations.

Dubbed the DREAMH2AUL project, which is currently under development, according to zepp, the trucks will have a range of more than 600km (372 miles), using its zepp.x150 fuel cell system. The company says the system offers high efficiency and ‘extremely high’ power density, leaving space for hydrogen storage and a sleeping cabin.
