ZeroAvia hydrogen-electric engines set to power new UK airline

ZeroAvia’s hydrogen-electric engines are set to power a newly launched UK-based airline.

Launched by former backer of Just Stop Oil, Dale Vince, Ecojet plans to kick-start operations in 2024 with fossil-fuelled flights to Edinburgh before converting its fleet to become the “world’s first” electric airline.

Under a freshly inked agreement, ZeroAvia will supply up to 70 of its ZA600 hydrogen fuel cell systems, which it is targeting to certify in 2025.
