MONTE Aircraft Leasing has signed a definitive purchase agreement with ZeroAvia for 100 hydrogen-powered turboprop engines.
The definitive agreement builds off a previously announced Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two companies and represents a key commercial milestone for ZeroAvia, with the first build slots of its 600kW ZA600 engines now secured.
MONTE and ZeroAvia will aim to retrofit nine-19 seat aircraft with the ZA600 powertrains for operators from 2025, while also offering financing, infrastructure, maintenance and hydrogen availability services to operations.
