ACCIONA Energía has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Aruba owned Energy Entities to develop a green hydrogen valley.
ACCIONA will work with the state-owned company to develop, construct and operate the plant which will be powered by a self-consumption renewable energy project.
The electricity generated will be used to produce green hydrogen, with the excess utilised to reduce the use of imported fossil fuels on the island. Located at the state-owned refinery, Refineria di Aruba N.V., with water supplied by WEB Aruba and Elmar managing the energy distribution and transmission across the network.
