ARPA and Linde-Serma unveil first green hydrogen forklifts in Spain

ARPA and Linde-Serma have unveiled one of the first forklifts powered by renewable hydrogen in Spain.

A demonstration of its operation was carried out by Serma, official dealer in Aragon and Soria de Linde, which developed the vehicle.

Jesús Montero, Director of the Department of Energy, Gas and Waste of ARPA, said it has been operating the truck at its facilities for several weeks.

He said, “The hydrogen fuel cell has great potential in Spain, it facilitates the possibility of establishing synergies and promoting circular energy, in addition to offering the possibility of having its own and self-sufficient energy source. It has a high percentage of renewable energy in the energy mix and is key to achieving transversal decarbonisation throughout the industry.”
