ATOME and Cavendish to develop green hydrogen projects

ATOME Energy has announced a joint venture with Cavendish to develop green ammonia and fertiliser projects.

The two companies have established the National Ammonia Corporation (NAC), which will be headquartered in San Jose, Costa Rica, and has a mandate to develop projects across Central America and the Caribbean, with an initial focus in Costa Rica.

The central American country has a 99% penetration of renewable electricity and a strong agriculture sector which is one of the highest fertiliser consumers per hectare across the world.
