From the full day of conference speakers to the long line of exhibiting companies in Houston’s NRG Center halls, carbon capture utilisation and storage (CCUS) was firmly in the spotlight on day one of the Hydrogen Technology Expo North America on Wednesday (June 28).
The Expo’s second edition – four times the size of last year (2022) – had three other ‘tracks’ worthy of attention, focusing on Hydrogen Production, Storage and Infrastructure Development; Fuel Cell Technology; and Low Carbon Fuels and Propulsion – but visibly and audibly, there was a clear sense the first day belonged to CCUS.
Such was the volume of carbon capture exhibitors that you had to remind yourself that it was a hydrogen technology expo.
